Lightning Protection Design Of Surge Protector
Lightning Protection Design for surge protective device
The lightning protection grounding system is a critical subsystem for protecting precision equipment and computer rooms. It primarily ensures high equipment reliability and prevents the harm of lightning strikes. The central computer room houses extremely valuable equipment, and a lightning strike would cause immeasurable economic losses and social impact. According to GB50057-94, "Code for Lightning Protection Design of Buildings," and IEC 61024-1-1, the central computer room's lightning protection level should be specified within the Class II design standard.
Currently, the building's main distribution room provides Class I lightning protection in accordance with the building's lightning protection design specifications. Therefore, Class II and Class II lightning protection devices are located in front of the tram switchboard in the office space of the network center of this project. A device to prevent Class III reunion lightning is also in place.
The lightning arrester should use separate modules and have a fault warning indicator. If a module fails due to a lightning strike, it can be replaced independently without replacing the entire arrester.
