Level 4 and Above

Depending on the voltage rating of the protected equipment, if two levels of surge protective device can limit the voltage below the equipment's voltage rating, only two levels of protection are required. If the equipment's voltage rating is lower, four or more levels of protection may be required. The lightning current capacity of Level 4 protection should not be less than 5kA.

Installation Method

1. General SPD Installation Requirements
surge protector Use a 35mm standard rail for installation.
For fixed SPDs, surge protection device general installation procedures should be followed:
1) Determine the discharge current path.
2) Mark the conductors that cause additional voltage drop at the equipment terminals.
3) To avoid unnecessary inductive loops, mark the PE conductor of each device.
4) Establish equipotential bonding between the device and the SPD.
5) Perform energy coordination for multi-level SPDs.
